All That Rises

Juxtaposition of seeing and sounding, sky and stone and all that’s in between. A short walk in an alleyway, to hear vision sounding images, blessed with light and darkness. "Following a certain structure/method that resembles a musical notation for a structured improvisation, I shot the images frame-by-frame as I walked slowly from one end of the alleyway till I reached the other end on one summer day. The original footage on Super-8 was blown up to 16mm, transformed through different printing and hand-processing techniques, and edited with sound by violinist Malcolm Goldstein, who improvised on the footage."
