Just like the animals are originally among the most frequent motifs appearing on emblems, research images of threatened bird species were used in Emblem not in a documentary, but in fiction manner. The view of the world appears transformed especially if we compare their lives and ours. In Emblem, the light is projected onto the audience and dedicated to the act of exploring relations, which will enable us to rethink the world. (Rei Hayama)
