Split Reconstructions
East Rodeo Splitske rekonstrukcije, HR, IT, 2012, 60'Live cinema performance
Seven selected archival titles made in Cine Club Split from 1960s to 1980s are the starting point for the improvisation of the appreciated Croatian-Italian avant-rock band East Rodeo, granting the nostalgic Mediterranean scenery an imaginary soundtrack. Re-interpretation of the cinema heritage, musical invitation and a reminder of the 60th Cine Club Split anniversary, and the hidden treasure of its archive.
East Rodeo is an international band whose core authors are brothers Alen Sinkauz and Nenad Sinkauz (Pula, Croatia). It was founded in 2002 under the auspices of experimental music theatre TAM teatromusica in Padua (Italy). In a creative ambiance of constant questioning of sound and visual media, the compositions of East Rodeo have acquired an unexpected transformative dimension and an extreme openness towards various musical genres which resulted in the discovery of their unique sound equilibrium.
Live music: Alen Sinkauz, Nenad Sinkauz, Alfonso Santimone, Federico Scettri
