The Finnish experimental rock band Circle is an explosive combination of glam, metal, psychedelia and cabaret. With different transformations, they have been active since 1991, building a status of the most fruitful and internationally most visible Finnish underground band. In association with the Finnish filmmaker and artist Mika Taanila, in 2013 they created SSEENNSSEESS, a hybrid of rock-opera and expanded cinema. In the energetic live show of the seven-member band Taanila intervenes with film fragments from different sources via five projectors. SSEENNSSEESS was first performed for the 2013 Taanila's exhibition at the Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art in Helsinki.
The Circle are: Julius Jääskeläinen (guitar), Tero-Pekka Jääskeläinen (guitar), Jussi Lehtisalo (bass, vocal), Tomi Leppänen (drums), Mika Rättö (vocal, keyboard), Janne Westerlund (guitar, vocal), Antti Uusimaki (sound engineer).
