Teheran-Geles
Arash Nassiri FR, 2014, 25', DCPTehran-Geles is a fictional version of Tehran, using Los Angeles as its set. Like in the science-fiction genre, where the present is projected into the future, this short movie projects the past of Tehran into the Western present. With this film I wanted to show the present-day version of what was Tehran in the 1970s, when the American lifestyle and urbanism were projected onto the Iranian capital. Using Los Angeles as a set for this fictional city, I wanted to integrate its function as the default set of Hollywood films, and the default city for Iranian migrants. (Arash Nassiri)
