Opening day of the 21st 25 FPS Festival with Rosa Barba and tonota

The first day of the 21st 25 FPS Festival is upon us! It is set to open with the exhibition Meaning Distances by visual artist Rosa Barba, at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Zagreb. A conversation with the artist will precede the exhibition, while a musical performance by Ivona Eterović, stage name tonota, will be held afterwards.

Impressive audiovisual cinema performances, program announcement for Rijeka and Split

The 21st 25 FPS Festival will feature two screenings of expanded cinema, as a part of the Kino 11 program, Olivia, directed by our laureate Sofía Petersen. The three-day program at the Rijeka Art-kino will feature Reflexes, Croatian Competition, the best from the International Competition, and a tribute to representatives of the Iranian New Wave – Forugh Farrokhzad and by Marva Nabili.

New Reflexes, the origins of digital film and cinemagoers without cinemas

This year, Croatian competition program Reflexes showcases five films by established as well as new authors, and in collaboration with the European Short Film Network, we offer a side program with a selection of films bringing us back to the sources of digital film and a panel titled Cinemagoers without cinemas.

25 FPS 2025: Endings We Made

21st 25 FPS Festival will take place from September 23 to 27, 2025 at Kinoteka cinema in Zagreb, with a grand opening at the Museum of Contemporary Art. After Zagreb, the festival continues at Art-kino cinema in Rijeka (September 30, October 1 and 3), and at Multimedia Cultural Centre Split (October 30).
