A cinematic vision of home in exile or how we structure memories of places that mean something to us where we are far away is the focus of the section Films in Place of Places (16:00), the first in the series presented by our jury members. George Clark, British curator and artist, is composing a sort of mosaic auto-bio-geography made out of works by authors from the places he visited, armed with his 35 mm camera and a wish to connect people through the universal feeling of homesickness.

On Thursday 29. 9. at 18:00 h first day festival program unfolds: join us for the Reflexes, a selection of Croatian films, meet the authors and have a great read - Danijel Brlas delved into these films on spaces. 

This year, 25 FPS is paying a tribute to the grandfathers of all things absurd and irrational on screen. For, reason and ratio are not exactly why we appreciate film. Therefore, check out for DADA in the Odes to Film programme, as a prelude to Competitions, in the company of contemporary unreasonables and experimenters.

The aim of the Jury’s Choice section is indeed to familiarise audience with inspirations and methods our professional jury members resort to while making their art. A program introduction by film critic Danijel Brlas.
