Heart Pressed Between Stones

Camila Fuchs & Manuela de Laborde MX, DE, 2018, 45'

Live AV performance / concert

Camila Fuchs’ music is a particular point of tension between popular tendencies and an experimental raw approach to different forms of technology. They will present their new album, Heart Pressed Between Stones, to be released by ATP Recordings, in visual collaboration with Manuela de Laborde. The sonic bedrock of Heart Pressed Between Stones affirms its lyrical subject matter; both, commenting on parts of our collective reality while also sharing an abstracted world of their own. Opposite to some of their main influences, Camila’s singing appears untreated and forward. Manuela’s work, more akin to the instrumentation, also mixes mediums and makes obscure references to the different aesthetic expectations we might have of live performances.

Camila Fuchs is an electronic duo formed by Camila de Laborde (Mexico) and Daniel Hermann-Collini (Germany).

Manuela de Laborde is an artist and filmmaker from Mexico. In her own practice, by abstracting concepts from concrete properties, she looks to create (virtual) spaces and (regenerate) the image. 25 FPS Festival Grand Prix 2016 awardee.
