ReducedInstrumentSetConcert (RISC) is a collaboration between Billy Roizs, the leading Austrian specialist in feedback video and sound-image interaction, and deib13, a passionate explorer of audio universe and music devices of diverse origin. They work with extensive equipment: computers, chaos synthesiser, synchronator, TV monitors, three turntables and one trashy bass guitar. They use it all as audio and video instruments to produce signals that cannot be related to the technology that made them and therefore gain a new function and meaning. This is how sound produces images and how an analogue video signal can be heard. The speaker and the screen finally define if a signal would appear as audible or visible. Equally responsible for both video and sound, they create visual music for the digital generation.
