What is Home without the Boarder

Georges Méliès La maison tranquille, FR, 1901, 1', SD video

Ground floor and mezzanine of well-garnished hotel. In a downstairs room, the hotelier and his wife are dining while above them, four tenants are trying to see who can make the most noise. Tired of the game, they begin to pierce a hole through the floor and let down an enormous spider, which disrupts the meal of the hotel owners. One of the tenants goes through the hole and places everything upside down. He causes the hotelier to have a hysterical fit by skilfully feigning an elephant with the tablecloth and two broomsticks. At the end, a police officer suddenly appears, places himself right under the hole, and is completely buried under a pile of furniture. (Lobster Films)
