Where does attention live - and what happens when it wanders, resists, or dissolves?
The program Dispersions brings together films that reflect on and question the economy of attention in relation to the contemporary viewer. Monologues become forms of directing the audience’s attention. Navigation devices turn into seeing machines that distort perception. Natural space gives way to illusion, travelogues reflect dispersed consciousness, while recorded events challenge traditional perception. Together, these films explore attention as something unstable: held, redirected, interrupted and gradually dispersed.
