The Dispersions seminar leads us into the festival week on Monday, September 21 & Tuesday, September 22, at KIC (Culture and Information Center). The two-day event brings several lectures and film programmes, alongside a workshop, all delving into the 'phenomena of scattered attention'. All the programmes will be in English.

The 22nd edition of 25 FPS Festival features three expanded cinema performances, with a pioneer of the British avant-garde Guy Sherwin, filmmaker and artist Lynn Loo, and moving image composer Luis Macías. Sherwin and Lynn Loo will also present their specially curated film programme, and Kino 23 includes the explosive film Krakatoa by Carlos Casas.
 

For the upcoming 25 FPS Festival, the members of our Grand Jury - filmmakers Alia Syed, film programmer and scholar Gloria Vilches and film historian Federico Windhausen - have curated special programs for challenging traditional structures and conventions, featuring ‘painted films’, ‘corografías’, films in the interplay between voice, text and image.

This year's Reflexes, competition program of Croatian experimental cinema, comprises eight films, and there will be a panel organized as part of the European Short Film Network's program, titled Beyond the Festival Circuit: Pathways for the Circulation of Short Films.

The 25 FPS Festival announces its 22nd edition, taking place September 22 – 26 at Kinoteka Cinema in Zagreb, and kicking off with a iconic opening performance by Guy Sherwin at Histrionski dom. Special events await us at Studio-galerija Klet and the Academy of Fine Arts during the festival, with Dispersions, a two-day seminar, to be held at Surogatkino (KIC), on September 21 & 22.

As part of the upcoming Festival’s program, we will present a Croatian translation of A Companion to Experimental Cinema, an instructive collection of essays edited by Federico Windhausen, a film historian, curator and a member of this year’s Grand Jury.
