No Touch for the Wires
Goran Petercol Nema dodira za žice, HR, 1978, 3', SD videoOriginal format: Super 8 mm
Not considering a cinematic issue, but kinetic sculptures and constructivist objects, Petercol records funny and unpretentious scenes in a 15-minute unedited film Spinning the Wire and No Touch for the Wires, a one-take film. Although the scene is static, the central perpendicular symmetrical mirror image of minimal shifts, the recording does not connotate stillness, but quite the opposite, filmic dynamics: the position of two wires between the hands visible next to the vertical frame edges never acquires a perfect uninterrupted horizontality. The two lines keep moving, approaching, separating, distancing, flickering, not touching.
