Live 16 mm projector performances in the series PIE PELLICANE JESU DOMINAE
INSECURE OF FOOTING AND THEIR BEAKS ARE TOO SOFT TO INFLICT A WOULND / 2009 / 35'
3 projectors each threaded with loops consisting of a 3 foot 17 frame pelican head shot looped and bi-packed with patterned emulsion/base loops (one frame base to three frames emulsion). Colored gels. Optical sound from the bird loops and emulsion light pistons is processed live with guitar effects pedals.
HOLD ON - TAKE TWO (PROVISIONAL TITLE) / 2010 / 20'
3 projectors embraced with six foot loops each spaced with one frame base (nominally clear) to 199 frames of emulsion (nominally black). Optical sound from the film loops is processed emphasizing the hold feature of the delay pedal enabling the recording and replay of a sound loop 5.2 seconds long.
