Super 8 footage of the peaceful, pastoral surroundings of a 13th-century monastery is digitized and manipulated using various hand-animation techniques – primarily acrylic on acetate – emphasizing vanishing points leading toward light and darkness, set to the rhythm of a disjointed Bach score.
