Opening of the 21st 25 FPS Festival

Our Competition programs for the 21st 25 FPS Festival have been finalized. A total of 25 films have been selected for the Internationational Competition and five films in the Croatian program, which now becomes a separate competitive section.

Our two new curated film programs are now available at the THIS IS SHORT platform: Seeing Is Believing comprises films that revolve around a variety of rituals and rites, and how they affect the way we see our reality, and Curious Light that is interested in the way the light shapes and transforms image.

In celebration of our joining the European Short Film Network, 25 FPS has curated a special program On the Move for the online film platform THIS IS SHORT, a joint project with five other European film festivals: Oberhausen, Go Short, Uppsala Kortfilmfestival, IndieLisboa and Vienna Shorts.

The 22nd edition of the 25 FPS Festival is now accepting entries, with the standard deadline set for May 30, 2025.

Encouraged by Archivio Aperto’s invitation to take part in Carte Blanche, the 25 FPS team has curated a selection of films shown during its two decades, strongly reflecting upon the nature of images in contemporary culture. The program will be presented and shown on Sunday, October 27.
